CBI evaluated and made recommendations for repair of the existing six (6) story precast parking garage. Originally constructed in the 1980’s the existing garage had previously received only minor maintenance and many of the sealant joints had failed.
CBI conducted field surveys, physical exploration and tests on the existing concrete and joint sealants. CBI subsequently provided Boston College with a phased repair program for the garage. As a result of this study, each year since 2005, CBI has prepared plans and specifications for the complete repair and restoration of the garage top deck including concrete repair, epoxy injection, expansion joints, joint sealants and breathable clear penetrating sealer.
