Tewksbury DPW Salt Storage Facility

THE CHALLENGE

The salt storage shed for the Tewksbury DPW was aged and inefficient.  CBI was engaged to provide architectural and engineering design services for the construction of a new salt storage facility located on the Town of Tewksbury Department of Public Works site.

CBI’S SOLUTION

CBI worked with Tewksbury DPW to design a pre-engineered salt storage facility that would fit their needs, space constraints, and budget.  The new salt facility is a one-story wood framed building with equipment storage space.

New electric lines were installed, originating from an existing building’s service on site.

A geotechnical investigation, including soil test borings, was conducted to define the nature and character of the subsurface conditions underlying the proposed building area.  The Geotechnical report was used for the foundation design.
